Grants Updates June 2023 – Hailstorm Loans

The Victorian Government is offering Hailstorm Primary Producer Concessional Loans to primary producers in the City of Greater Shepparton and Yarra Ranges Council affected by the 23 March 2023 hailstorm.

Two types of loans are available:

Concessional Loans of up to $250,000 for those who have suffered significant asset damage due to the hailstorm event.

Concessional Loans of up to $100,000 for primary producers who have experienced a significant loss of income as a direct result of the hailstorm.

These loans come with a concessional interest rate of 1.69% for up to 5 years. There are no application fees, but statutory costs and other charges to establish loan securities will apply. The loans will be subject to an annual review, and the necessary financial information must be provided when requested each year.

As with the recent flood relief, general Rural Finance eligibility criteria apply. Applications for both loan programs close on 14 November 2023 at 4pm.
